Where do I find my GCSE results?

You collect your GCSE results from the exam centre where you registered and sat your papers.

If you attended a school, your school is your exam centre. They will issue your results on results day, usually the third or fourth Thursday in August.

Most schools let you collect results in person that morning. Some also email or post results to students who cannot attend. Check with your school in advance.

Private candidates and homeschooled students follow a slightly different process. You registered through a private exam centre, so that centre holds your results.

Contact your centre before results day to confirm how they release grades. Some centres use email. Others require you to collect a printed statement in person.

If you have lost contact with your centre, you can still get your results. The exam board itself can help. Here are the main UK exam boards and how to reach them:

  • AQA — online results through e-AQA or by post
  • Pearson Edexcel — results via ResultsPlus portal
  • OCR — contact the centre or request directly
  • WJEC — results through your registered centre
  • Cambridge Assessment — direct candidate statements available

Each board can issue a certified statement of results if your centre has closed or you need a replacement copy.

For Cambridge IGCSE students, the process differs slightly. Cambridge sends results to the registered centre, which then shares them with candidates.

If you are homeschooling and plan to sit Cambridge IGCSEs, choosing the right exam centre matters. Register early, because centres fill up fast and deadlines vary by region.

At Digital International School, we help families across the UAE and GCC prepare for Cambridge IGCSE exams. Our qualified instructors deliver live lessons from AED 500 per month, covering every subject your child needs.

We also guide families through the exam registration process so nothing gets missed. You'll know exactly where and when to collect results.
